New Bicycle Painting! The raven and the cog.

Oooh,shiny.

It’s a new one,hooray. It’s 8×6 on panel in oil.

And yes it has the keen bike chain link framing.

It’s up on my etsy,if you just can’t live without it.

Weekend Update. Dogs, mules, and amazing fall days.

This weekend was very, very needed. Thankfully New Mexico decided to have two of those perfect autumn days in a row. I somehow convinced the husband to drive to White Rock with me to watch a dog show. Amazing huh? Well it’s wasn’t a normal type of dog show. It had stuff like this.

Whee! It was the Endeavor Dog Club’s Fall schutzhund and other trial. It was really amazing to watch these dogs really do what they were built to do.

And yes, they are super trained, obedient dogs that do obedience and tracking too,but this is what is fun to watch.

And they love what they do.

If you ever get a chance to go watch these dogs work,do it. It’s truly amazing.

Seriously, look at that. And no,our dogs can’t do that.

After that we went on a peaceful hike with our two pooches and I have no photos, because I am a dork and didn’t bring another battery.

The next day,it was time for creatures of a different type. Mules!

It’s a good way to change your perspective, looking through some long ears.

Maynard decided the trail needed some pruning.

Finish that up with some PBR’s on the porch and some awesome frito pie, that makes for a darn fine weekend.

Best Things in Life.

New Mexico sunrises. And being over food poisoning. Right now they are about tied.

Just so she doesn’t get jealous…hah.

Hey,don’t forget about my other dog, jeez. Here’s Anya. Otherwise known as the ferret.

It’s almost her birthday. She’s almost 5,which in German Shepherd years is a  very good year. 7 is better. But we’ll take what we can get.

Celebrating one year of Uma!

Just a little over a year ago,we picked up this skinny, goofy shepherd girl at the local shelter. To celebrate this momentus occasion,I took the canine  senior pictures. It was a great excuse to go up and peep at the aspens…they still aren’t at the peak of color yet,so get up there if you in the area. She’s two or so,we don’t know when her birthday is and she is still the sweetest, silliest shepherd there is.
